Julie Masimore

Julie Masimore joined Bankers Trust in 1980 and has twenty years of International Banking experience. She is responsible for overseeing international operations and compliance for the International Department of Bankers Trust, Des Moines. Julie has been involved with all aspects of international banking and trade finance.

 

 

Julie is responsible for the Des Moines and Central Iowa client base for Bankers Trust’s International Department. An experienced international banker, Julie has an in-depth perspective of the needs of her international clients. In addition to overseeing the department’s operations, Julie specializes in documentary and standby letters of credit, collections, foreign payment operations, and foreign exchange trading. Her responsibilities include assisting Bankers Trust’s international clients as well as providing international banking services for all of the Bank’s branches and to the Bank’s network of correspondent banks throughout Iowa.

 

Julie became a Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (“CDCS”) in 2004. CDCS is the professional certification that identifies documentary letter of credit practitioners that demonstrate specialist knowledge and application of the skills required for competent practice.  The CDCS program has been developed in consultation with industry experts to ensure that the certification reflects best practice.

 

She also serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for the International Traders of Iowa. She is an active volunteer with the Raccoon Valley Animal Sanctuary & Rescue and she and her family have foster 17 animals over the past several years.  She is also the past Chairperson of the Urbandale Diversity Committee and donates her face painting and temporary tattoo skills to local non-profits through her small business, MonkeyFace Productions.  Julie’s hobbies are spending time with her husband of 30 years, her two children and three cats.  She enjoys art, photography, and traveling with her husband of 25 years.
